Unfortunately Diablo Immortal will not be released this year as planned, a release date had not yet been given to us, but as confirmed the game has officially been postponed to 2022 just today.
This is certainly not a good game for Blizzard, considering that just today, the president J. Allen Brack he officially resigned and will no longer be part of the company, we talked about it in this article.
The postponement of the mobile game to 2022 will certainly not benefit the company, precisely in these weeks at the center of the cyclone due to a lot of scandals that have been reported by employees in many ways. We obviously hope that the product can arrive in great shape, and that a release date of Diablo Immortal arrive soon, although this has just been postponed to 2022 and is therefore likely to take time.
Find below the company’s statement regarding the return of Diablo Immortal:
Following the feedback provided by the Closed Alpha participants, our team began to fix main and endgame features. For example, we are reviewing PvP content like Cycle of Strife to make it more accessible, along with PvE material like Helliquary to make it more engaging. We are also working on providing controller support for those who want to play our game differently. In any case, these changes and additional opportunities to improve our gameplay experience will not be realized in the 2021 timeframe as we previously communicated. As a result, the game is now scheduled for the first half of 2022, which will give us time to add substantial improvements to the whole experience.
Among other bad news, just a few hours ago it was confirmed that the company has lost a major sponsor of the Esports of call of Duty And Overwatch, and that a shareholder filed a lawsuit against the company.
