Development partnerships.. and transcending the old discourse
With the announcement of the integrated industrial partnership between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan, the region will gradually be able to get out of the tunnels and into the horizons. The severe upheavals that countries have faced since 2010 due to the projects of destruction and destruction have cost everyone dearly. Building partnerships and arranging alliances between moderate countries is the right path to achieve two goals, the first of which is: increasing the level of development and raising the economic strength of the participating countries, in fulfillment of what was promised by the UAE leadership, represented by the promises of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, that The UAE will be an economic force driving the rest of the Arab countries to benefit from investments and support economies. The second: that the rest of the Arab countries that suffer from failure, political turmoil and civil wars realize the role played by the Gulf states, a pivotal and vital role, based on three foundations: achieving the values of peace with neighbors, consolidating the foundations of tolerance, and strengthening the prospects for development.
The long Arab discourse that people lived through and suffered from its effects since the fifties of the last century until today hit all the dreams of the Arab individual to achieve health, education and a good income. Then the victory of the extremists, all of which resulted in the form that we see in the Arab countries, the entry of Nasser into Lebanon, and then the legalization of the entry of the Palestinians, which led to bloody disasters that turned Lebanon – for example – into a collapsed country on the political and economic levels. As for the rhetoric of extremism and violence, it turned Syria, Libya, Tunisia and others into countries that suffer and suffer under the clutches of extremism. Abdel Nasser’s ideology, for example, used to say that we finish the issue of Palestine and then start development, for he put the horse behind the car, and this is an eloquent evidence of political violence.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, stated about the partnership project as: “It embodies the UAE’s keenness to enhance industrial integration with Arab countries and the world, and will lead to enabling industrial development in the three countries, diversifying the economy and providing promising opportunities. This partnership embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, to promote industrial integration with Arab countries and the rest of the world, in order to achieve a qualitative leap in the industrial sector to be a major lever for the economy, explaining that “industry is the backbone.” to the major economies, and we are confident that the UAE, with its capabilities, effective policies and will for development, advanced technology and advanced logistical infrastructure, is able to build a solid economic base by taking advantage of industrial integration among the countries of the region, and developing the industrial sector in the participating countries.”
This is the core of the project and its basis, for the Arab countries to meet in new partnerships with countries that have giant visions of development, especially Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and these two countries are leading the region towards escaping the clutches of the wooden policies from which the Arabs are tired, and perhaps the rest of the other Muslim countries to conclude partnerships with Countries with high economic growth and development.
It is a mighty project that will bear fruit, and the Arabs will then know that development is the basis of people’s vitality and their lives, and democracy that has only led the region to gossip about empty politics and resorting to useless funds, instead of going towards visions that transcend all the ideas of old politics.
