Abdul Sattar Sabra, brother of the missing Muhammad Aziz Sabra from the port area in the northern city of Tripoli, said that communication with his brother and companion Wahib al-Lathqani has been cut off since the afternoon of September 13.
And he said, in connection with the “Sky News Arabia” website: “I appeal to you and to the media and everyone who can help me or has any information that leads me to know the fate of my brother. Help has mercy on my sick mother on her deathbed as a result of shock.”
How did the trip start?
Sabra explained: “My brother left Lebanon on the morning of the tenth of September without saying goodbye. He called my mother from the sea, and said to her: Forgive me and send my regards to my brothers and sisters.”
He added: “My brother called me back on September 13 to tell me that the boat had an engine failure and that the Greek sailors had returned its passengers to the coast of Turkey by rubber boats after confiscating their phones.”
Sabra continued: “Two days ago, someone told me on my private Facebook page and said to me: I am one of the passengers who accompanied your brother at sea. We and all the Syrian migrants who were on the boat were deported from the Turkish region of Marmaris to Mugla, Turkey, and then to the region of Idlib is in Syria, but your brother and the boat driver were transferred to the investigation and we did not know more information about them.”
And he added, “My mother suffers from shock and is sick with the heart, and I work in the port of Tripoli in order to secure her medicine.”
Sabra revealed: “Wahib al-Latqani led the boat because he is an expert in this profession, and he had bought it with the money he collected from illegal immigrant passengers and took my brother with him as a friend and companion with the intention of emigrating without return. about my brother, but to no avail.
Abdul Sattar Sabra concluded his speech to “Sky News Arabia”, with tears, saying: “My brother did not think about the fate of our mother, and I do not ask for financial assistance, and I am ready to sell our house in exchange for information about my brother’s fate, even with a phone call that reassures my mother’s heart.”
