‘Destiny: the Winx saga‘arrived on Friday, January 22, on the Netflix platform. The story tells the daily life of five fairies who share moments of love, rivalry and secrets deciphered within the Alfea school.
The last episode of the season shows Bloom searching for answers on how to control her power, so he opts to let Rosalind, the former director, go free. However, this does not turn out to be as expected, as she did not master her skills either.
After being released, Rosalind tells Bloom that she wanted to destroy the city of Aster Dale, because they were not humans but witches who kidnapped babies to take away their power. After hearing this, Bloom returns to Alfea to defend her friends from the Burned.
That’s when Bloom realizes that not only Rosalind can help her, but also her friends. Together with Stella and Aisha, he manages to defeat the Burned and release the magic of the fairies. At the end, the five fairies go on a journey and take the power of Alfea.
The series closure left many questions to be answered by fans, especially about what will happen at Alfea after Rosalind is appointed as director. In that sense, the actress Abigail cowen confirmed to The Wrap that there could be a second season with new characters, but everything would be left to Netflix.
“If we’re lucky enough to get a sequel, I think Flora would come in. I am not part of the casting process, but I hope these concerns are something that can be addressed. I believe that diversity is vital and much needed throughout the industry and internationally. ”Were his words.
