The former prosecutor Maria Angioni on trial for false declarations: the first hearing on December 23 in front of the single judge of the Court of Marsala
Maria Angioni, the former prosecutor who coordinated the investigation into the disappearance of little Denise Pipitone, will go on trial. The first hearing seems, according to the reported news, set for the next one December 23, before the single judge of the Court of Marsala.
In recent months, right after the statements of the former magistrate, the prosecutor has decided to reopen the investigation for kidnapping. The woman has been a guest, several times, in various TV broadcasts and has talked about misdirections, lies, also pointing the finger at his own colleagues.
Last May 3, Dr. Maria Angioni was heard for summary information by the Prosecutor’s Office and, a few weeks ago, summoned again. Her former colleagues have disputed several claims and have it accused of misrepresentation.
Also during the TV broadcasts, the former prosecutor revealed that there are two disputed facts. One would concern one camera that didn’t work and that had it replaced. But the prosecutor would not show her the documents relating to the second camera.
The second contested fact concerns one of the people who were superficially listened to and who, according to her, had particular relationships with the investigators, so much so that she herself decided to listen to it again.
Maria Angioni wants to go to the trial
Maria Angioni had confessed that she was willing to go to trial, because the truth must come out. Little Denise Pipitone deserves it and her mother Piera Maggio, who has been looking for her daughter for 17 long years, deserves it.
The legal of the former prosecutor said:
We will try, through a complete verification of the mother trial on Denise, to better anchor the memories of Angioni, in order to justify these discrepancies between what are the documents and what is the memory of Angioni itself and possibly take note of them.
As she explained herself, while waiting for the trial, Maria Angioi is studying all the acts and has already filed one criminal complaint for material falsehood in a public document.
