Culiacán, Sinaloa.- Dozens of members of pro-life organizations, parishioners from churches in Los Mochis and Culiacán with religious images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Virgin of Guadalupe, as well as activists from the transsexual community from different municipalities and in particular from Mazatlán , have been demonstrating since 8:00 in the morning, outside the Congress of the State of Sinaloa. The first in defense of life and its rejection of the legal termination of pregnancy at week 13, and the second group with rainbow flags, in support of the gender identity recognition initiativethrough an administrative resolution.
Father Miguel Ángel Soto Gaxiola, parish priest of the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, reported himself in good health, after almost a day of hunger strike, but saddened by the response of the deputies of not raising the initiative to decriminalize abortion. He commented that yesterday afternoon he was visited by two legislators, one from the PRI and the other from Morena, who talked with him and listened to his statements.

On International Women’s Day, outside the legislative chamber there are tents from groups in favor of life, PAN that support the non-interruption of pregnancy at any stage of pregnancy, as well as religious communities of the Diocese of Culiacán.
Pedro Infante Boulevard has already been invaded by protesters who await the start of the solemn session at 11:00 in the morning, and later the second extraordinary period of sessions, which will give the first reading of the opinion that proposes to reform, add and repeal various provisions of the Penal Code, Health Law and other laws, all of the state of Sinaloa on legal interruption of pregnancy.
Likewise, the opinion that proposes to reform, add and repeal various provisions of the Family Code of the State of Sinaloa, in terms of lifting birth certificates for recognition of gender identityand also the opinion that reforms section I of article 4 BIS A of the Political Constitution of the State of Sinaloa, in terms of the right to life and the free development of the personality.
The contingents of the groups continue to arrive on foot and in vehicles that with cardboard and blue handkerchiefs express their rejection of the decriminalization of abortion.
