In Helsinki A women’s day demonstration for peace was held today in front of the Russian embassy.

The organizers of the event had asked the participants to bring a “rose of peace”. The roses brought by the protesters were counted in front of the embassy.

Jantunen says that he has never organized demonstrations before.

“A week after Russia invaded Ukraine, the cup went down and I decided to leave to organize this,” he says.

“It may be naive to go with roses against weapons, but it is not naive to believe in peace.”

A similar demonstration was held in front of the Russian Embassy in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
