The technological multinational DEKRAwhich arrived in Malaga in 2015, has given an important boost to its commitment to the Costa del Sol. Almost on the verge of reaching its first decade of experience in the city, the company has inaugurated DEKRA Knowledge Center from Malagaa center located in the Andalusia Technology Park that aims to promote training, talent development and the attraction of qualified professionals.
“The DEKRA Knowledge Center is a firm commitment to Spain, in particular to Malaga and its potential. With this center, we not only develop internal talent, but also we contribute to the future of young people in a highly competitive and technological labor market,” commented Alberto da Silva, country manager Spain of DEKRA.
A center that consolidates Málaga as a strategic innovation core and technology for the company and that will play a key role in the employability of the region, offering continuous training to its employees.
“HE will work in collaboration with universitiesvocational training centers and educational institutions to prepare young talent to face the challenges of the technological labor market, providing them with opportunities to develop in highly specialized sectors such as the automotive, industrial or technological sectors,” explained DEKRA.
The combination of cultural offer, quality of life and a technological ecosystem booming, has been a key in the company’s decision to reinforce its commitment to Malaga as an operational base in southern Europe.
Local talent development

The first headquarters in Malaga marked nine years ago the arrival of the multinational to Andalusiaa region that has been increasing its international projection with important milestones. That first year DEKRA acquired AT4 Wirelessan operation that marked the beginning of his commitment to the community.
Four years later, the company launched, together with Telefónica, the first test center and European certification for 5G communications in vehicles. As a result of this collaboration, in 2020 the most advanced R&D laboratory for connected driving in Southern Europe was born.
Later, in 2021, DEKRA launched a Global Information Technology Hub, which reinforces the strategic role of Malaga in its operations. In addition to these projects, the company has reflected its interest through a multitude of conferences and events aimed at employability and training, such as its participation in the TALENTLAB from Malagaor topics of critical interest to the technology sector, such as the recent conferences on Cybersecurity in the automotive industry and Car Hacking together with CESVIMAP and the University of Malaga.
