This December 4 we can enjoy one of the last great astronomical events of the year. The partial solar eclipse will be the big claim this week, after the last lunar eclipse just a few weeks ago.
This 2021 is being a very busy year in the astronomical field. We have been able to enjoy different supermoons as well as several meteor showers that have delighted fans of stellar events.
When is the solar eclipse in December and where you can see it
Now the expectations are set in a possible solar eclipse. But not everything is good news, because the next one will happen on December 4 at 07:30 UTC (08:30 in Spain) and can only be seen in full in Antarctica. The peak can be enjoyed at 08:44 UTC.

As we have indicated before, the only place where a total solar eclipse can be followed is in Antarctica. In some places the spectators will be able to enjoy a partial solar eclipse. This happens when the Sun, Moon, and Earth are not exactly aligned. Fans from places like Saint Helena, Namibia, Lesotho, South Africa, South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands, Crozet Islands, Falkland Islands, Chile, New Zealand and Australia will see a partial solar eclipse.
When will the next solar eclipse be in Europe?
So when can we see a solar eclipse in Europe? On October 25, 2022. In less than a year, the old continent will enjoy a partial solar eclipse, which occurs when the Moon does not completely cover the solar disk, which leaves a bite-like image in the sky.
That day, the eclipse will be darker in Eastern European countries and Scandinavia. But not just any one: the center, north and northeast of the peninsula, together with the Balearic Islands, will be able to enjoy a total solar eclipse, which will have its greatest darkening in the center and west of the peninsula.
