At least six people were killed today in landslides in northern Thailand.
The Bangkok Post reported on its website this evening that floods caused by heavy rains that hit many areas in the north of the country were behind the landslides, which resulted in the death of at least 6 people.
She pointed out that the authorities advised the affected residents to move to higher areas to await evacuation and to avoid wading in the rapidly flowing water.
