The Japanese game director explained that at this point the development team will have to face a phase lasting approximately one year in which aspects such as direction, understandability, fun and gameplay will be optimized.
If all goes well, therefore, we imagine that Death Stranding 2 will be released in 2025, maybe in the fall: perhaps a shorter wait than what many fans of Kojima’s works feared for this sequel.

When discussing the development of Death Stranding 2, Hideo Kojima also spoke about the game’s debut trailer, which in his opinion had the task of present the sequel in its entiretyincluding all aspects of the experience.
