We continue to talk about Deadlock, the new Valve game which, although not yet officially announced, was at the center of several leaks which also showed images and videos of such high quality as to convince everyone of their veracity. Now comes a new element that confirms the existence of the game: the SteamDB page.
We remember that SteamDB is not officially affiliated with Steam and Valve, but is responsible for tracking various elements of the Counter-Strike company’s store. For example, the portal creates pages for video games even if they are not yet actually publicly available on Steam.
Right now, to this addressyou can see the Deadlock page. According to what is indicated, there are around 500 people active in the video game, certainly the players of the trial version who we already know is active behind the scenes.
The owner of SteamDB – Pavel Djundik – indicated via Twitter that this is one legitimate page and confirmed that the active players are testers.
Deadlock, what we know about the game
Deadlock, as far as we have seen so far, is one MOBA hero shooter with 6 vs 6 battles. As the leak indicates, the game has been in development for years – at least since 2018 – and has had various names throughout production.
We recently had access to a gameplay video and discovered the list of characters that will be present in Deadlock. The hero mechanics should be more similar to Dota than Overwatch according to indications. The game should also have tower defense mechanics and the setting should be a mix of steampunk and fantasy.
Of course we will have to wait for an official announcement before considering any information as definitive.
