Dead | The previous president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, has died in a helicopter crash

Chilean previous president Sebastián Pinera has died in a helicopter accident, according to the Chilean media, including a newspaper of El País according to and local sources for the news agency Reuters.

ADN radio station information by Piñera flew the helicopter himself. The accident happened in the municipality of Lago Ranco in the province of Ranco in southern Chile. The La Tercera news website reported, based on official sources, that there were four people in the crash helicopter, of whom only one died.

Piñera, a businessman and right-winger, led Chile twice, in 2010-2014 and 2018-2022. He was 74 years old when he died.
