Dead Industrial Counselor Timo Prihti is dead

Timo Prihti was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago due to an illness and did not recover.

Pori resident industry consultant Timo Prihti is dead. The man, known as the founder of the Sampo-Rosenlew combine plant, died the night before Saturday at the age of 77.

Son Jali Prihti says that Timo Prihti had a seizure a couple of weeks ago and has been in the hospital ever since. The cerebral infarction turned out to be so severe that it soon became clear that he would not recover.

Hospice care gave loved ones time to prepare for the inevitable.

“It was, of course, a gracious way for relatives to leave. We were able to say goodbye to him, ”says Jali Prihti.

He says he was there at night when Dad slept away.

His illness until Timo Prihti was active.

“He cycled a lot. He was in good basic condition, ”says Jali Prihti.

Prihti is especially known as the founder and long-term director of Sampo-Rosenlew. Prihti acquired the combine harvester business from Rauma Oy 30 years ago.

“Yes, I can say he saved that combine business. He bought it at great risk and started to develop it, ”says Jali Prihti, who continued in the footsteps of his father as the manager of the combine factory.

Timo Prihti also excelled in renovating buildings such as the Säteri manor or the Mekani building in Konepajanranta.
