Harri Manner, known for his illustrations and satirical books, was 76 years old when he died.

Graphic Designer, illustrator and author Harri Manner is dead. His brother Pekka Manner tells HS that the mainland has died of advanced cancer. The mainland was 76 years old.

Born in Helsinki, Manner had a long career as a graphic artist and visual artist. For the general public, Manner’s most famous work is probably the heart logo of the record company Love Records, founded in 1966.

The Love Records logo was designed by Harri Manner in the 1960s.

Continental moved to Copenhagen in the 1960s to study as a graphic artist there. He also held his first art exhibitions in Copenhagen. He first returned to Finland in 1969 and finally in 1978.

Manner worked, among other things, as a book cover designer, at the University of Art and Design (now Aalto University School of Art and Design) and at Yle’s foreign service as a translator and voice of TV programs.

In the early 1990s, he drew a satirical series of Finnish politicians entitled Man is a political animal.

21st century in the beginning the mainland became a writer. One of his best-known works is satirizing contemporary art speech Great performance (2005), which was made into a TV film in 2008.

The mainland also wrote and illustrated children’s books.
