The United States former Foreign Minister Madeleine Albright is dead. He was 84 years old at the time of his death. Albright’s death was reported by his family on Twitter.

Albright served as U.S. Secretary of State from 1997 to 2001 as President Bill Clinton administration. Prior to serving as Secretary of State, Albright served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Albright was known as an advocate and promoter of democracy and human rights. She also used to communicate non-verbally, especially with her brooch choices. In the late 1990s, in Middle East talks, Albright repeatedly wore a jewel depicting a dove of peace on his chest.

Albright was born in 1937 in Prague, then Czechoslovakia. He and his family left for the United States as refugees in 1948. He became a U.S. citizen in 1957.

In 2012, Albright was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian badge in the United States.
