American country musician and actor Kris Kristofferson has died at the age of 88, his relatives said.
Kristofferson won the 1976 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for The star has lit up. Kristofferson’s co-star in the film was Barbara Streisand.
Kristofferson was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The songs he wrote are, for example Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down and Me and Bobby McGee. He has recorded both songs in Finnish Kari Tapio.
