Dead Asko Tanhuanpää, a journalist and the Coalition Party’s regional election candidate, has died

Tanhuanpää was a candidate for the Coalition Party in the Satakunta regional elections.

Multidisciplinary and a journalist who worked in Rauma and the province for decades Asko Tanhuanpää is dead.

He died on Thursday, January 20, of a sudden illness, relatives say. Tanhuanpää was born in 1957.

Tanhuanpää also actively involved in municipal politics, the activities of the Coalition Party and the organizational work of national defense and peacekeeping activities.

He was a candidate in the municipal elections in Rauma last year. He was also a candidate for the Coalition Party in the Satakunta regional elections.

In his career as a journalist, Tanhuanpää worked for the newspaper in Western Finland and Satakunnan Viikko, as well as as an entrepreneur and freelance journalist. He also wrote sports stories for the People of Satakunta.

The trace of his work was also reflected in provincial and national publications. As the most recent book publication, he published in October 2021 the biography of Radio Ramona About Risto Leino.
