Spanish football club Seville announced that Dutch player Luke de Jong will play for the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven next season, after leaving the club, and after his loan to Barcelona ended this summer.
PSV Eindhoven reached an agreement to return the player to his ranks this summer, leaving Sevilla, with whom he won the European League title in the 2019-2020 season.
Sevilla stated: “Sevilla FC thanks the player Luke de Jong for his performance during the playing period for the team. De Jong’s name will remain in the club’s history, and we wish him the best of success in his new personal and professional mission.”
De Jong had moved to Seville in the summer of 2019 from PSV Eindhoven
94 matches and scored 19 goals in two seasons with the team, and one of his most important goals with the team was a double that helped Sevilla win the European League final against Inter Milan.
Last season, De Jong played for Barcelona on loan and played 29 matches with the team, with a total playing minutes of 938 minutes.
