The Investigating Court Number 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has sentenced David Silva to pay a fine of 1,080 euros for causing injuries to a young woman during “a brawl” that occurred during the early hours of June 19 in the vicinity of the Campo Internacional de San Bartolomé de Tirajana and in which his brother Fernando also participated and a third person who hit a young man with a stone and threatened another with a knife shouting “come here I’ll cut you”.
According to the sentence, to which ‘Tiempo de Canarias’ has had access, there was “a brawl between several people” in which Silva, “with the intention of undermining the physical integrity” of the victim, “toughly grabbed her arm to push her away, causing her to fall to the ground. According to the sentence, this caused “her to fall to the ground and suffer post-traumatic neck pain, contusion on her left elbow and lacerations” in different parts of her body.
The sentence reflects that another of the accused hit another young man “strongly in the face and, once he had fallen to the ground, he continued to hit him in different parts of the body together with other people.” Next, the same accused struck a different young man several times, breaking the chain he was wearing around his neck. The third of the defendants threw a stone at another young man, hitting him in the head and causing injuries that required surgical suture.
The trial was never held since the three defendants admitted the facts, for which a consent sentence was issued that sentenced the Real Sociedad footballer to a fine of 1,080 euros as “perpetrator responsible for a minor crime of injury” already pay the young woman 520 euros as civil liability. The sentence, being issued in accordance, is final and, therefore, there is no appeal against it.
