David Faitelson is one of the most controversial and respected communicators in the world of sports analysis in Mexico. The ESPN journalist has established himself over the years as one of the most constant and scathing critics of Club América. The also chronicler recently attacked the Eagles’ style of play in the Grita Mexico 2021 tournament of the MX League, in which this club is the leader of the general table.
The azulcremas is in the first place of the tournament with 28 units in 13 games played. This team has eight victories, four draws and only one defeat so far in the contest. At the level of results there is little to demand of this team, however, their style of play has left some doubts among fans and the press. Hence the most recent criticism of David Faitelson.
Through his social networks, Faitelson considered that the Eagles are masters and lords of the MX League and that their regularity is enviable, but that their way of playing is not attractive. “His way of doing it is a sneaky stab at the show. This game can’t just be about winning or losing,” said the ESPN journalist.
In another publication, Faitelson asserted that America is a “direct and classic” product of television and that if it does not understand its responsibility with the show, Mexican soccer “is screwed.” América is the fourth team that has scored the most goals this season, only behind Toluca, Monterrey and Tigres.
