During a recent interview with Jordan Ruimy, editor of World of Reel, David Cronenberg has revealed that he intends to work with said Hollywood stars.
“They have developed wonderfully, separately, as actors. They make arthouse movies and they do it successfully. Kristen and I had a great time, and Rob and I had a great time. I definitely come up with a movie, or rather a cool idea to have the two of them together again on screen,” the director explained in the interview.
However, Cronenberg clarified that this will not be his next film (that will be “Shrouds”) and acknowledged that it would be “problematic” for him to bring the iconic couple back together on screen, since it would show Bella and Edward in a different relationship in sight. in “Twilight.”
“[La película] could be problematic because fans will expect a certain type of relationship and that would be a hindrance when creating new characters for them”, declares Cronenberg. And he continues: “I have a feeling that it would be problematic, so, for now, it is purely theoretical.”
