The Colombian David Alonso 'pulverized' all his rivals in the first free practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix of Moto3 and he was indomitable on his motorcycle.
Alonso He gave no respite to his pursuers and broke the absolute circuit record this Friday, taking more than a second difference on the stopwatch on the circuit track. 'Ángel Nieto' from Jerez de la Frontera, the same place where last year he achieved his first podium in the category and just one day after turning 18.
David Alonso He ran in 1:45.9 already in the first laps and shortly after he dropped to 1:45.709 with which he surpassed Kelso by almost three tenths, the Dutchman Collin Veijer (Husqvarna) by more than five and also by almost seven tenths of a second. Spanish David Muñoz (KTM), who was later surpassed by the Japanese Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM).

To leave no room for doubt, in the final stretch of the session the Colombian lowered his best time by more than seven tenths of a second, lapping in 1:44.983, almost a second faster than Joel Kelso and with David Muñoz, who gained several positions, third at 1.1 seconds.
Alonso conclusively sentenced that first round of tests, 'endorsing' more than a second of distance (1,079) over his immediate pursuer, the 'local' David Muñoz and more than 1.3 over Adrián Fernández (Honda), as both relegated Joel Kelso to fourth place at 1,380 seconds away.

Fifth place went to the Spanish Iván Ortolá (KTM) ahead of his compatriot Ángel Piqueras (Honda), with the world leader, Daniel Holgado (Gas Gas) in a delayed twelfth position, more than two seconds behind David Alonso.
The bad news of the day was the loss of the Spaniard José Antonio Rueda
(KTM), who did not compete in the first round of tests, being physically unwell and experiencing severe pain before being rushed to the hospital.
