Update/with videoThe daughter of influential Kremlin ideologue Aleksandr Dugin has been killed in Russia in a bomb attack on her father’s car she was driving. Russian researchers confirm this. Dugin, who may have been the target of the attack, escaped death because he got into another car at the last minute. He saw the assassination attempt before his eyes.
The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which was carrying 30-year-old Daria Dugina (Platonova), exploded on a highway near a town southwest of Moscow. She was returning from a folklore festival at the Pushkin Museum, the largest European art museum in the capital. She had visited that with her father Aleksandr Dugin.
According to Russian media, father and daughter were supposed to drive back together in the car, but Dugin decided at the last minute to take another car. A family confidant confirms to state news agency bag that the exploded car Dugina was in belonged to her father. ,,She rode it today, while Aleksandr returned in a different way. He or both were targeted.”
Dugin allegedly got into another car at the last minute. He did witness the death of his daughter. Shortly after the attack, he stood with his hands on his face between the debris at the burning car wreck, according to images on social media. He has been taken to hospital. The exact circumstances of the explosion are still being investigated. According to the news agency, the researchers Reuters all scenarios open.
‘Terrorists of Ukraine’
Separatist leader Denis Pushilin of the self-declared pro-Russian People’s Republic of Donetsk, in eastern Ukraine, says “terrorists of the Ukrainian regime” are involved in the incident. According to him, their target was the father, the Russian state news agency reported RIA Novosti.
Aleksandr Dugin is a well-known figure within the Kremlin. The ultra-conservative political philosopher and Russian nationalist is considered the mastermind behind Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. His nickname is Rasputin because of his influence on President Vladimir Putin. He is a great supporter of Eurasian thought. It is assumed that Moscow, Berlin and Paris form a natural geopolitical axis. He believes that Ukraine and Belarus are simply part of Russia.
Daughter Daria (1992), a philosophy graduate from Moscow State University, was a journalist, political observer of the International Eurasian Movement and expert in international relations. She was involved in the analysis of European politics and geopolitics.
According to the news blog Visegrad 24 ‘Putin whisperer’ Dugin raised his daughter from his second marriage in his image to be a ‘mystical neo-fascist’. Daria openly supported the invasion of Ukraine. This year she landed on the sanctions list of the American and British authorities because she would spread disinformation about the war on the internet.
Daria Dugina never rebelled against her father’s hateful ideology. On the contrary, she called Ukrainians in recent months “subhuman‘, a Nazi designation for inferior people. She is also said to have said that Ukraine needed to be conquered and she recently traveled to the Azov steel factory in Mariupol, which had been besieged for months by the Russians, to take ‘victory selfies’.
In May she described the war in an interview as a ‘clash of globalist and Eurasian civilizations’. She said she was proud that she and her father had been sanctioned by the West. “The unanimous support of the West to Ukraine in 2022, the supply of weapons on an unimaginable scale, it all sounds like an agony,” Dugina said.
“For me, the main pain point is that Europe has succumbed to the influence of globalist propaganda and instead of remaining neutral, has sided with the war. In many ways this was certainly the plan of the United States, which had provoked the entire conflict so systematically and incessantly by pumping weapons into Ukraine.”
