Apple is constantly working to improve its devices, and that includes the M chip used in Macs. While the company is expected to reveal the future of this hardware during the upcoming WWDC presentation, which is planned for this summer anus, A new leak has revealed the first details of what will be the M4.
According to Bloomberg, the M4 chip, like other Apple updates, will be focused mainly on the inclusion of artificial intelligence. The striking thing, is that the new model would be available in four different versions, each one focused on different ranges. These would be:
- M4 (entry range)
- M4 Pro (upper mid-range)
- M4 Max (high-end)
- M4 Ultra (premium high-end)
Now, the interesting thing is that the outlet has also shared a schedule in which the M4 chips would be available on the market, starting with a launch at the end of 2024, and throughout 2025 we would see the arrival of multiple Macs with this hardware already included. This would look like this:
- 14-inch MacBook Pro with the most basic M4: late 2024
- 24-inch iMac also with the base M4: late 2024
- 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro/Max: late 2024 to early 2025
- Mac Mini with M4 and M4 Pro: between late 2024 and early 2025
- 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air with base M4: Spring 2025
- Mac Studio with M4 Pro/Max: Mid 2025
- Mac Pro with M4 Ultra: second half of 2025
As always, we can only wait for Apple to share official information about it, something that, as we already mentioned, will happen at WWDC which will take place in the summer of this year. On related topics, Game Boy emulators come to the iPhone. Likewise, you can learn more about WWDC here.
Editor's Note:
The Apple cycle is something we all already know, and considering all the rumors in recent months, it is certain that the presentation planned for the summer will be one of the most interesting in recent years.
