The opening gala was attended by several choreographers, sixty dancers and a large number of musicians. Tonight’s commissioned work swept the little gala exhaustion its way.

Long awaited and the inaugural program of the newly opened Dance House, like many other cultural events, had to take into account interest rate restrictions. The audience was not admitted to the handsome new Erkko Hall, the size of the National Theater’s auditorium. Foreign visitors also shone with their absence.

Five of them. Now the stage saw a diverse and even fun variety of works by Finnish groups, the final issue of which had been specially prepared for this occasion. All in all, the repertoire represented the spectrum of diversity that the House of Dance will hopefully serve in the future.

Attended the gala several choreographers, sixty dancers and a large number of musicians. The ensemble began with excerpts from Tsium’s dance stage nostalgia Dance ban. Next, a snippet was seen Jarkko Mandelinin and a group work on gravity research by Kinetic Orchestra for Helsinki Dance Company Gravity.

Dark Fruit X Amanda & Lydia, who combines rap and queer culture clichés, took me to a completely different and definitely more colorful world. Its rugged language of movement refers subtly to the beginnings of the voguing posing dance born in the 1980s.

The fragments at the beginning of the program, like the usual gala numbers, were modest in their visualization and lighting. The problem with snippets is that they are just glimpses, and the whole longer arc of development leading to the scene is not outlined.

Tero Saarinen Company got a new home stage from the Dance House. The opening saw an excerpt from Transit, which highlighted the possibilities of the space.

Instead, Tero Saarinen Company’s longer excerpt from the book Transit already highlighted the spatial and technical potential of the new stage. The successful theatrical holiness that has succeeded in connection with Saarinen’s work is understandable, as the House of Dance will become the home stage of his group.

The choreography of the DCA Dancers group was written by Reija Wäre.

In the opening program there were, of course, some of the most strenuous features inherent in live broadcasts of gala broadcasts, such as funny speaks that fill the breaks, only occasionally interesting interviews – and in this case, congratulatory messages received from abroad.

The final issue of the evening, however, swept a little gala exhaustion on its way. Reija Wäreen controlled by Chainunder the subheading Greetings to the House of Dance by nine dancer-choreographers. It is a premiere made just tonight and as such is unparalleled.

Alpo Aaltokoski and Mia-Mari Sinkkonen in the Chain Choreographer.

The first dancer-choreographer to arrive on the stage is a group of seniors who have worked tirelessly at the Dance House for fifteen years. Alpo Aaltokoskiwho dances with his very own focused style.

Ilari Heinilän and Jukka Nylundin Accompanied by music, there are eight more super-masters of completely different types of dance. An exciting polyphonic dance ensemble is born, in which very different types of movement expressions form a natural and airy whole.

Saku Väänänen the fine virtual graphic visualization uses the Dance House’s own architecture and its elements as its themes. As a final culmination, another 26 young dancers will arrive on stage to complete this spectacle of congratulations at the House of Dance.
