Cycling | The opening leg of the Tour de France was run in Denmark on tight little roads – Yves Lampaert slalomed as the winner

Yves Lampaert was able to ride to a stage win in better conditions than his opponents.

Belgium Yves Lampaert I think the tight streets of Copenhagen are the best for cycling on the first stage of the Tour of France.

Lampaert defeated his compatriot in the 13.1 kilometer time trial by Wout van Aert five seconds apart. The Slovenian who conquered the previous two Tours Tadej Pogačar pedal third.

Pogacar’s performance was amazingly good, because the time trial is often the most challenging stage model for a rider aiming for overall victory.

176 riders The 22 teams started every minute, and when the rain was variable, the teams were able to spread their riders around the starting list. Thus, for example, Lampaert wearing yellow drove Pogacar and van Aert in better conditions.

The Tour will visit the Nordic countries for the first time this year.

The 202-kilometer second leg will be run on the flatlands from Roskilde to Nyborg on Saturday.
