The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi launched the Arabic version of its electronic educational platform, “Hayakum Experts in Abu Dhabi,” which is specifically designed to support partners in the tourism system, including travel agents and trip and tour operators.
The electronic platform provides specialists in this sector from the Arabian Gulf region with comprehensive information about the emirate, its ancient culture and heritage, its most prominent landmarks and accommodation options. The content of the program includes 9 modules covering the various aspects of the tourism sector in Abu Dhabi, which helps them create offers and tour programs in the emirate that meet the specific aspirations of their customers.
Participants who successfully pass the training receive a certificate proving that they are certified experts in tourism in Abu Dhabi, which supports their position in the sector by giving them the necessary knowledge and skills to design programs and tours in Abu Dhabi tailored to the requirements of their clients.
Abdullah Yousef, Director of International Operations at the Department of Culture and Tourism, said: “We are committed to empowering our partners in the travel and tourism sector from across the region by providing them with practical and knowledgeable tools and experiences to highlight and promote Abu Dhabi as a distinguished destination that welcomes everyone to discover its inspiring offers. We continue to cooperate with our partners to push for sustainable growth.” “For the tourism sector in the emirate and to consolidate its leadership at the top of the wish lists of visitors looking for unique and rich experiences.”
The program is currently available in Arabic, English, Chinese, German, Italian, Russian, French and Hindi, and will later increase to 13 languages to ensure the attraction of partners from different countries of the world.
Travel and tourism professionals can register for the program for free on the website experienceabudhabiexperts.com, and follow the training content at any time and from anywhere on their smartphones, tablets, laptop and desktop systems, and enjoy a flexible and convenient learning experience.
While expectations indicate that domestic and regional tourism will constitute the largest proportion of the travel market in 2024, Abu Dhabi offers a range of experiences ranging from luxury resorts, stunning beaches, and historical sites to cultural festivals, making it the preferred destination for visitors from various countries in the region.
The launch of the Arabic version of the “Experts in Abu Dhabi” platform is in line with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to increase the number of visitors from about 24 million visitors in 2023 to 39.3 million visitors annually by 2030.
