During the event organized by Devolver Digital there was also space for Cult of the Lambwhich was announcedUnholy Alliance update with trailer and release date: This is an update that adds cooperative multiplayer mode to the game.
As we can see in the video below, Unholy Alliance will be available on PC and consoles from August 12, 2024 and adds the cooperative multiplayer mode locally, allowing two players to join the game at the same time and collaborate to achieve various objectives.
The mode in question introduces new life to the particular Massive Monster title, which has so far received wide acclaim among critics and the public.
Changes applied to the game to accommodate two players
In essence, with Unholy Alliance it is possible to play the entire campaign in local cooperative, i.e. offline, with a player who takes on the role ofLamb and the other who takes on the role of the Goat.
This also involves some variation in the gameplay setup, which adapts to accommodate two players.
The team then invites us to try new two-player versions of existing minigames, such as fishing and brass knuckles, and choose from a selection of corrupted weapons, tarot cards, curses and relics as we embark on crusades in co-op.
Also the combat system changesalways in line with cooperative action: the lamb and the goat can exchange weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back or deal a critical hit if their attacks are synchronized.
However, the update also brings news for solo players, who with this will have a series of new powers and abilities to play with. In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the “Unholy Alliance” expansion also adds new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and other secrets to discover.
