The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) of Cuba reported the third total outage of the Electrical System National (SEN) in less than three days.
“A few minutes ago another disconnection of the Electrical System occurred, SEN. Immediately restoration work beganMinem wrote on social networks.
On Friday, the Cuban Government recognized that the country is going through one of its worst energy crises and promised savings measures at the state level to contain supply cuts in homes as much as possible.
“From the country’s leadership we are dedicating absolute priority to the attention and solution of this highly sensitive energy contingency for the nation. There will be no rest until its restoration“said Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Friday.
The Prime Minister, Roberto Marrero, then showed the concern of the Executive about some shortcomings that has mainly attributed to the lack of fuelwhich would add to the poor state of the infrastructure and the progressive increase in demand, according to official media.
