Continue the streak securities cancelled and definitively closed that the world of video games is affecting: after Apex Legends Mobile and Knockout City it’s the turn of the exclusive Xbox Crossfire X.
The period of difficulty that is affecting the inter-industry has also affected Remedy, leading it to release the official closing statement of the free-to-play next May 18th.
The lack of popularity of the title was most likely the main cause: the console adaptation of the Korean title, upon its release, was heavily criticized for numerous problems, including slow connection and sensitivity of the controls.
Such problemsalbeit adjusted as much as possible over time, have marked the title in an irreconcilable way, making it almost fall into oblivion.
Not just the multiplayer mode it will no longer be playablebut also the two single player campaigns they will suffer the same fate. Sales of the title have already stopped on the Xbox Store and all those who have purchased additional content in the last 14 days have the option to request a refund.
The closing of Crossfire X is yet another example within a very complex period for the video game industry, which is trying to get rid of all those unpopular content which, however, absorb team resources.
Recall that Remedy is working on Alan Wake 2 and which relies heavily on this title: that it is therefore a move, that of closing the Crossfire X chapter, to allocate more time and energy for theambitious horror?
