High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said during the meeting on its proposal to pay Ukraine military equipment from EU funds. In addition to munitions, he also suggests providing fuel aid, for example.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba asked for help speaking to EU foreign ministers on Friday.

Sanctions against Russia will also be discussed at the meeting.

The EU and the United States and their allies have agreed to exclude certain Russian banks from the international Swift payment system.
