Criminal suspicions | A shoplifter in Vantaa took a ton worth of make-up, another stole three thousand worth of clothes

Thursday On October 3, a shoplifter took make-up from Jumbo shopping center for over a thousand euros.

The Itä-Uudenmaa police department says in its release that the suspect had moved around the store’s premises and collected several products in the shopping cart.

After this, he had visited the fitting booth and continued walking around the store. Empty packages hidden behind the mirror and disconnected alarms were found in the fitting room.

Shortly after this, the suspect left the shopping cart in the store and left the premises of the shopping center. When the guards caught him, they found more than 900 euros worth of cosmetics stolen from the store in his possession.

Also found in the suspect’s possession were the scissors he had used to remove the alarms from the products.

When investigating the matter, it turned out that the suspect had earlier on the same day stolen cosmetics from another store in the shopping center for 140 euros. In addition, earlier in September he had already taken cosmetics from the shopping center for more than 200 euros.

The suspect has admitted to having committed the crimes.

Another one on Friday a shoplifter stole about 3,000 euros worth of clothes in a shopping center in Vantaa.

The staff became suspicious of theft when the salesperson had found a bag in the store with clothes inside and price tags torn from the products underneath. After this, the staff found the suspect on the surveillance camera recording.

A few hours after his first visit, the suspect had returned to the store and entered the fitting room again with a large pile of clothes. When he came out of the fitting room, he also had more bags with him than when he went there.

He had also changed into store clothes and store shoes.

Security guards caught the woman near the entrance to the store.

In this case as well, the suspect has admitted to having committed the crime.
