Police has arrested two people in northern Finland suspected of being involved in a weekend murder in Helsinki
A message arrived at the emergency center on Saturday morning that a bloody carpet had been found in the rubbish bin of the semi-detached house in Tapaninvainio, Helsinki.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found a dead man, about 40 years old, in the trash. The name of the deceased was quickly clarified.
The homicide is being investigated at this stage under the title murder. It is estimated to have taken place either on Friday or early on the Saturday side.
“The approach has been raw and cruel. The pre-trial investigation has indicated that the act may have been planned in advance, ”says the criminal inspector Jari Koski in the bulletin.
The two people arrested in northern Finland will be presented for imprisonment. One is a 28-year-old woman and the other a 27-year-old man.
Police no further details are given, as the preliminary investigation is still at an early stage and precise details of what happened are not yet known.
