Crimes IS: Rapper Milan Jaff sentenced to more than a year in prison for aggravated assault

as a rapper known Milan Jaff was sentenced on Friday in Kymenlaakso District Court to one year and two months in prison for aggravated assault, says Ilta-Sanomat.

Jaff, 22, beat his previously unknown peer in Kotka in May 2020. The crime took place at a house party, and was preceded by a dispute between the parties.

According to IS, the violence used by Jaff was, in law, particularly brutal and, as a whole, outrageous. Among other things, he kicked the fallen man in the head several times.

The judgment of the district court is not final.

Jaff has published rap music and related music videos on Youtube that glorify violence, crime, and gang culture, among other things. On Instagram, he has more than 110,000 followers.

Jaff has also been charged with a series of violent crimes related to street gangs, which have been investigated by the police in Helsinki and Western Uusimaa.

The case has involved one street gang in Espoo and one in Helsinki, of which Jaffi has been considered one of the leading figures in the latter. According to the IS, the prosecutor has demanded Jaff be sentenced to at least eight years in prison.

In the past, Jaff has been sentenced to more than four months in prison for a whole where he was convicted of, among other things, robbery and assault.

In addition to the street gang ensemble, Jaff is currently being prosecuted for two sexual offenses in the Helsinki District Court and another assault in the Pirkanmaa District Court.
