According to the head of the ministry, Alexander Ostapenko, there are not enough 2,500 doctors in Crimean hospitals, as well as about 4,000 nurses.
At a meeting of the operational headquarters on July 21, he stressed that the republic lacks 600 specialists for every 10 thousand population for the planned indicator. According to Ostapenko, most of all, the Russian region lacks infectious disease specialists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, emergency doctors, therapists, surgeons, pulmonologists, endocrinologists and oncologists.
To compensate for the deficit, specialists monitor individual regions and analyze how new specialists can be attracted and what affects the dismissal or migration of doctors.
