Cowboy Bebop, iconic anime of the 90s, had a live action adaptation created by André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner. To the sorrow of the fans, its premiere in Netflix on November 19, 2021 did not have the impact they expected when considering their source material.
After a single season, the streaming service canceled the series due to poor reception from the general public and critics. “It doesn’t have a fun enough crew to hang out with and it’s disappointing,” the Rotten Tomatoes consensus ruled.

In a recent interview for the Hollywood Reporter, leading man John Cho finally broke his silence on the cancellation. “It was a big event in my life and suddenly it’s over. I felt discouraged”, lamented the actor.
“I wish I could have contacted everyone and received hugs,” he continued, but not before deeply thanking those who cared about the project and his person.
