Covid, virologists sing “Si, si vax” to the notes of Jingle Bells: it is controversy
There is controversy on social media for the singing performance of virologists Andrea Crisanti, Fabrizio Pregliasco and Matteo Bassetti, who, on the notes of Jingle Bells, sang the song “Si, si vax” to push people to vaccinate against Covid.
The musical performance, not exactly excellent to tell the truth, was staged over the course of a A sheep’s day, the radio program broadcast on Rai Radio 1 conducted by Geppi Cucciari and Giorgio Lauro.
If the intent of the three experts was to underline, also through irony, the importance of the anti-Covid vaccination, the purpose was perhaps not fully achieved since the performance on social media was immediately crushed with negative comments.
The video of the singing performance, in fact, soon ended up in trend and collected opinions that were anything but positive. “I hope it’s a fake, on the contrary I’m from Tso” wrote one user, while some commented: “This is the level of the ‘experts'”.
There are also those who have lashed out against the public service by writing: “Public TV with the Rai license fee in the bill. I think we have reached a limit of decency beyond which it is difficult to go back ”.
