Of the 280 new cases, 158 were asymptomatic (56.6%). There are 130 screening cases, 111 case contacts, 39 with ongoing investigation. The total of positive cases therefore becomes 386,445, of which 31,794 Alessandria, 18,478 Asti, 12,185 Biella, 55,705 Cuneo, 29,986 Novara, 205,800 Turin, 14,368 Vercelli, 13,752 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 1,592 residents outside the region, but in charge of Piedmont health facilities. FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
There are 108 new coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia today, 20 October 2021, according to Covid data from the Region’s bulletin. 4,964 molecular swabs performed with a positive percentage of 2.18%. There are also 15,100 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 6 cases (0.04%) were detected.
Today there are no deaths; 7 people remain hospitalized in intensive care while 49 patients are hospitalized in other departments.
SARDINIA
There are 28 new coronavirus infections today 20 October 2021 in Sardinia, according to data from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region. New cases of positivity based on 1,979 people tested. For a realignment of the data, the processed buffers, between molecular and antigenic, are 29,705. There are 11 patients admitted to intensive care units and 59 (+10) those admitted to the medical area. There are 1,373 people in home isolation. There are no deaths.
VALLE D’AOSTA
No deaths and six coronavirus infections in Valle d’Aosta today, 20 October, according to the bulletin with Covid data from the Region. The total number of people affected by the virus therefore rises to 12,261. The current positives are 101 of which 99 in home isolation and two hospitalized. The healed are 11,686, + 7 compared to yesterday, the cases tested to date are 90,438 and the swabs carried out 209,382. The deaths of people who tested positive for Covid from the beginning of the emergency to today in Valle D’Aosta are 474.
ABRUZZO
Coronavirus infections in Abruzzo are 54 (aged between 5 and 82 years) today, 20 October 2021, according to Covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are 2 deaths. The currently positive in Abruzzo are 1,311 (+18 compared to yesterday), in the total there are also 405 cases concerning patients lost to follow-up since the beginning of the emergency, on which checks are underway, as communicated by the Regional Health Department .
52 patients (-4 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 4 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 1,255 (+22 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 3,430 molecular swabs and 9,122 antigen tests were performed.
The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 0.43 percent. Of the total number of positive cases, 20,958 are resident or domiciled in the province of L’Aquila (+23 compared to yesterday), 20,852 in the province of Chieti (+10), 19715 in the province of Pescara (+17 due to realignment), 19,685 in the province of Teramo (+9), 670 outside the region (-1) and 114 (-4) for which provenance checks are underway.
BASILICATA
There are 20 coronavirus infections in Basilicata today, 20 October 2021, according to Covid data from the region’s bulletin. New cases were identified out of a total of 645 molecular swabs. There are no deaths. 31 people from Basilicata who have been cured or negativized. There are 22 hospitalized in the hospitals of Potenza and Matera, none of whom are in intensive care, while the current positives residing in Basilicata are in all 929 (-13).
For the vaccination, 942 administrations were made yesterday. So far 430,298 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (77.8 per cent of the total resident population) while 391,529 have completed the vaccination cycle (70.8 per cent), for a total of 821,827 administered doses.
PUGLIA

There are 22,606 daily tests carried out and 2,018 people currently positive, 131 hospitalized in a non-critical area and 17 in intensive care. Since the beginning of the emergency, 270,749 total cases have been registered and 3,972,279 tests have been performed. Overall, 261,910 people recovered in Puglia and 6,821 those who died.
TUSCANY
There are 224 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, 20 October 2021, according to Covid data from the Region’s bulletin. There are 2 new deaths: 2 men, with an average age of 93 (1 in Pistoia and the other in Massa Carrara).
New cases are 0.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.1% and reached 274,029 (95.7% of total cases). The currently positive are 5,124 today, -1.9% compared to yesterday. There are 233 hospitalized (2 more than yesterday), of which 22 in intensive care (1 less). The average age of 224 new positives today is approximately 47 years (23% are under 20, 14% between 20 and 39, 27% between 40 and 59, 23% between 60 and 79, 13% have 80 years or older).
At 12.00 today a total of 5,717,578 vaccinations were carried out, 14,556 more than yesterday (+ 0.3%).
