In a recent interview, Schillaci announced that the time had come for a change of pace in the fight against covid. “On Covid it is time to give a message of discontinuity with the past. The population is exasperated, even in China they are now rebelling against closures and bans. We have entered another phase, no longer of obligations but of persuasion: empowering citizens, not forcing them” – he said.
“In the last three years there has only been talk of Covid, because the virus has shocked the world. Today, however, the epidemic has changed. We should start talking about Covid 23 instead of Covid 19, to make everyone understand that the disease is now profoundly different from the original one. The current form is less aggressive and we know how to heal better. Epidemics last two-three years, this has always happened in history, with or without vaccines, as happened a hundred years ago for the Spanish flu” – her words.
But there are also updates on thevaccination obligation with the minister announcing he will not return.
“We will not revoke the vaccination obligation and we will always be careful to mediate the right to health with respect for personal freedoms” – the announcement.
