Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wrote it in the tweet in which he communicated that he tested positive, together with his wife Emine, for a test for coronavirus after complaining of “mild symptoms”. The Turkish leader will stay at his residence in Istanbul for a week before undergoing a new test, an advisor to the Dpa agency confirmed.
“Thank God we are overcoming the disease – added the president, vaccinated against Covid-19, specifying that they were infected with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus – We will continue to work from home. Erdogan, 67, participated in a videoconference at an event in Zonguldak this morning. “We couldn’t come him – he told the crowd gathered in the city – because of colds and hoarseness.”
