Faced with the health crisis due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Food Bank is adapting. Its traditional national collection in stores will take place on November 27, 28 and 29, but the food aid network has also launched an online platform for the first time: monpaniersolidaire.org. It has been open since Thursday 19 November.

The site allows donations to be made in the form of a virtual shopping cart: from the “student basket” at 6 euros, to the “baby basket” at 38 euros, via the “large family trolley” at 137 euros. Friday, shortly after 4 p.m., the site recorded more than 77,000 meals collected.
On its website, the Food Bank explains that it faces “a 10-25% increase in demand for food aid and a 23% drop in stocks compared to the same period in 2019”.
