Brazil reached 524,417 deaths per covid-19. In the last 24 hours, there were 830 deaths and 27,783 new cases. In total, 18,769,808 cases have already been confirmed in the country. There are still 3,553 deaths under investigation by health teams, data from yesterday. This is because there are cases in which the diagnosis of the cause only comes out after the patient’s death. The number of people recovered totaled 17,082,876.
The data are in the daily balance of the Ministry of Health, released today (4). The balance is based on data on cases and deaths collected by local health authorities.
In general, the records of cases and deaths are lower on holidays, Sundays and Mondays due to the difficulty of data feeding by the Health Departments on weekends. On Tuesdays, the totals tend to be higher due to the accumulation of information sent to the ministry.
The ranking of states with the most deaths by covid-19 is led by São Paulo (129,609), Rio de Janeiro (56,031) and Minas Gerais (47,079). The Federation units with fewer deaths are Acre (1,752), Roraima (1,756) and Amapá (1,845).
In relation to confirmed cases, São Paulo also leads, with 3.7 million cases. Minas Gerais, with 1.8 million, and Paraná, with 1.3 million cases, appear in the sequence. The state with the fewest cases of covid-19 is Acre, with 85.8 thousand, followed by Roraima (113.4 thousand) and Amapá (117.7 thousand).
