France has recorded in the last 24 hours 215 deaths in hospitals (against 276 the day before) linked to Covid-19, according to Public Health France published Sunday 22 November. A total of 48,732 have died from the coronavirus since the start of the epidemic, including 33,445 in hospital.
Otherwise, 13,157 new cases of coronavirus have been identified (against 17,881 on Saturday). Among them, there are 11,829 cases confirmed by PCR tests and 1,328 cases confirmed by antigen test, according to official statistics.
These figures, down for the sixth consecutive day, confirm the slowdown in the epidemic in the country confined since October 30. The intensive care unit was occupied by 4,493 Covid patients on Saturday, including 220 new admissions. The update of these figures for Sunday is still awaited.
