In January-September, Russian courts declared insolvent 194.1 thousand citizens, including individual entrepreneurs, follows from the data of Fedresurs, which Izvestia got acquainted with.
In Russia, in nine months, the number of bankrupt citizens increased by 41.2% compared to the same period in 2021. But the rate of growth in the number of personal bankruptcies in 2022 slowed down by almost half. For comparison: in the first nine months of 2021, the increase compared to the same period in 2020 was 78.4%.
In the context of regions, the first two lines of the rating of leaders in terms of the absolute number of defaults of individuals again, as at the beginning of the year, were headed by the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow Region, Moscow is in third place.
So, in the first subject 9.5 thousand new bankrupts were recorded, in the second – 9.41 thousand, in the capital – 9.29 thousand, follows from the materials. The top five is closed by the Sverdlovsk region (7.9 thousand) and Bashkortostan (7.7 thousand). As before, the lion’s share of bankruptcy procedures (96.1%) are initiated by citizens themselves. The rest are bankruptcy creditors and the Federal Tax Service.
The slowdown in the growth of bankruptcies may be due to the exhaustion of the low base effect, as well as measures to support borrowers, according to experts interviewed by Izvestia. In their opinion, in the future, the dynamics will depend on the speed of economic recovery.
