Ciudad Juarez.- Yesterday, the councillors began to set up their council committees with the presentation of their minimum work agenda.
The first to be held were those on Nomenclature and Cultural Heritage, Women and Gender Equality, Municipal Development Planning, Transfer of Municipal Land, and Youth.
Nomenclature and Cultural Heritage
In the case of the Nomenclature and Cultural Heritage Commission, its main tasks include preserving cultural heritage and maintaining an order that benefits the mobility of citizens.
The commission is made up of coordinator José Mauricio Padilla, secretary Héctor Hugo Avitia Corral and member Pedro Alberto Matus Peña.
“This work plan will be based on actions of linkage and management with the corresponding government agencies to promote and preserve the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Juárez, as well as to improve and continuously monitor the activities of nominal ordering of streets and roads in the city that help urban mobility,” said Padilla.
Women and Gender Equality
The Women and Gender Equality portfolio will also work in this new three-year period with masculinities and with diverse LGBTIQ+ groups.
The commission is coordinated by councilor Martha Patricia Mendoza Rodríguez; secretary, Sandra Marbel Valenzuela Martínez; and as a member, Gloria Rocío Mirazo de la Rosa.
Sessions will be held on the first and third Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
Municipal Development Planning
The Municipal Development Planning Commission is coordinated by Councilwoman Gloria Rocío Mirazo de la Rosa; Secretary, Sandra Mabel Valenzuela Martínez; and Member, Sandra García Ramos.
Mirazo de la Rosa said that the commission will work in a coordinated manner with the different municipal departments, mainly with Planning and Public Works.
As these meetings take place, work objectives will be established with which we will seek to ensure that the programs, actions and works carried out for the community are developed in an orderly manner and in accordance with what the law establishes.
Review of Municipal Land Disposals
The Municipal Land Alienation Review Commission will work hand in hand with all those involved in the Alienation Committee to ensure that the delivery and alienation of the properties have a social impact.
The portfolio is coordinated by Karla Michaeel Escalante Ramírez, the secretary is councilor Héctor Hugo Avitia Arellanes and the member is Jorge Marcial Bueno Quiroz.
“We will be analyzing everything that the Committee on Alienations sends us so that we can have the opportunity to help the citizens and for this we will work in the commission hand in hand with the people, as well as civil associations so that people can get a piece of land,” said Escalante.
Youth
The Youth Commission has set as its main objective to support young people in everything that helps them to be better and have more opportunities to excel.
The coordinator is Luz Clara Cristo Sosa, the secretary is Héctor Hugo Avitia Arellanes and the member is Laura Fernanda Ávalos Medina.
