The product line Corsair presents devices of all kinds, whether they are external peripherals or high-quality devices for computer assembly, and fortunately the company invests to continue producing new devices ready to evolve the potential of the previous ones, both for what is about performance, both for design. In fact, it is impossible not to consider this last point for the company’s products, which sometimes have a higher price than the competition precisely for the care that is taken in the realization of an aspect that makes a miracle scream. Speaking of RAM, Corsair has managed with its (few but good) series to present itself as a real leader, a position that has been able to underline with its new Corsair Vengeance RGB RT DDR4, which we have had the opportunity to try and we want to deepen within this review dedicated.
The eye also wants its part
Since the unboxing of the product, luckily one realizes how – which is basically customary for the company’s devices, one finds oneself in front of an article of the highest quality, which reflects the yellow color of the company in its packaging , and is well protected inside, with little else inside the carton. The devices, which can be purchased through the following link, occur in the both black and white colors, in order to best fit the design that users are looking for their computers, and present at the top a RGB strip which makes them truly unique. Obviously, we are not dealing with a dedicated external heatsink, since the LEDs are part of the product, and they work correctly already once attached to the motherboard.
Having to do with the latter, it should be specified that the new ones Corsair Vengeance RGB RT DDR4 we talk about in this review are optimized for AMD processors in particular, and even if they still work correctly in conjunction with devices Intel, are mainly to be taken into consideration in case you want to proceed with the assembly for a configuration in which a red company device reigns. At the moment, many memory cuts are available, a value designed not to make some more demanding consumers pull back, but the main ones to 2 × 8 GB and 2 × 16 GB they should be able to please most users. Specifically, configurations up to 256 GB, with frequencies that can obviously be chosen, and go into for the moment up to the maximum of 4,600 MHz.
Between aesthetics and power
RGB lighting, as well as all other details, can be controlled and calibrated by the company’s dedicated software, iCUE, which as always is in excellent shape and allows synchronization of the LEDs, and is essential for anyone who owns any Corsair-branded device. It should be specified that the lighting that the company has designed for the RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB RT DDR4 covered within this review includes a total of 10 specific areas, individually customizable to obtain truly surprising lighting effects, with results that in a few minutes can really change the entire look of the configurations.
Speaking of the heat, it goes instead of this new model uses aluminum to dispose of high temperatures, and in fact, during even intensive sessions, in obviously appropriate configurations and with correct air flow, overheating problems do not arise in any way, as emerged from various tests. The device, automatically, is able to adapt to the configurations and offer the maximum possible frequency, however changeable through the dedicated settings, in order to provide the best possible experience to users, whatever the operations they need to perform with their machines.
