Account had previously told HS that the results of a recent study of the causes of non – vaccination in Finland would be presented at the event. However, these issues were not addressed at the event.
At the end of September, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) called on countries to monitor the social aspects of vaccination in order to understand which populations and communities did not want to be vaccinated. In addition, the ECDC says it is important to understand the reasons why some have been reluctant to take the vaccine and to develop solutions to the problems.

Kontio has previously said that the reasons for not being vaccinated can be of all kinds, from something as concrete as traveling to a vaccination point.
“Somewhere in the hospital district, it has been noticed that those living near the provincial center have higher vaccination coverage and those living further away have weaker vaccination coverage. Municipalities are already working to remedy this by exporting vaccines to areas with lower coverage, ie by making vaccination easy, ”Kontio commented to HS at the beginning of October.
THL will not publish its actual report until next Monday.
