The Covid-19 affects the whole of France but disparities according to the regions can nevertheless be noted. “We see that it circulates in a very different way. In Île-de-France, we have fallen below one for the reproduction rate. This means that the epidemic is slowing down”, notes the journalist and doctor Damien Mascret, on the 19/20 set, Thursday, November 19.
For other regions, the epidemic is slowing down but “it remains very fragile”. In addition, in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, no slowdown is visible. There are still very high incidence rates. In addition, the regions which had undergone a very virulent first wave undergo a second less important one. On the contrary, “the regions which had a lower first wave, I am thinking of Hauts-de-France, the Paca region for example, have a second wave which is much more severe”, specifies the doctor.
