Coronavirus Swedish state epidemiologist Tegnell: Interest rate restrictions are still needed

In France, everyone over the age of six must wear the mask in certain public places from Monday.

In Sweden corona restrictions are still needed to keep the number of infections caused by the omicron variant so low that medical care is not overloaded. This is what the Swedish Public Health Agency’s (FHM) state epidemiologist says Anders Tegnell in an interview with TT news agency.

According to Tegnell, it appears that the mortality caused by the omicron transformation would be low. However, he stresses that he has not yet seen clear figures to confirm this claim.

However, in terms of constraints, it is not possible to look only at mortality rates. The key is how heavily the health care is loaded, Tegnell says.

In France for its part, a regulation will come into force on Monday requiring everyone over the age of six to wear a mouth guard in certain public places. These include public transport, train stations and airports, he says Le Monde -magazine.

In the past, the order has applied to those over 11 years of age. In France, the self-transformation of the coronavirus has recently spread, especially among young people. For this reason, the minimum age for using the mask is lowered.
